How ToolBullet Works

Understand the result, not just the answer.

ToolBullet explains the calculation or process behind each result, the assumptions that affect it and the sources used when outside rules or standards matter.

ToolBulletReviewed 23 July 2026

How results are worked out

Each tool uses a calculation, rule or sequence suited to the task. The page explains the important inputs and the steps used to reach the result.

Some tasks are better served by a comparison, schedule, table, timer, saved scenario, export or a link to the next useful tool rather than a formula alone.

Examples and limits

Worked examples show how a tool behaves with realistic values. The assumptions and limits explain what the result includes, what it leaves out and when regional rules or personal circumstances may change the answer.

Information about money, health, law, safety or religion is not a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

Sources and review dates

When a result depends on an outside rule or standard, the page links to an appropriate primary or authoritative source where one is available.

Review dates are shown where timing matters, helping you judge whether the information is current enough for the task.

How accuracy is checked

Checks depend on the tool. Calculators are compared with independently worked examples and unusual inputs. Date tools are checked against recognised dates. Timers and interactive tools are tested with keyboard controls, different screen sizes and common browsers.

The displayed result, explanation and any export are checked together so they do not contradict one another.

Privacy and saved information

Tool pages state when information is kept in your browser or included in a shareable link, and provide a clear way to reset or remove it where relevant. Calculation entries and other potentially sensitive values are not intended for analytics.
