The default 108-count mode records one completed round whenever the target is reached. The target is editable because bead counts and devotional uses differ across Buddhist, Hindu and other communities.
The counter treats the guru or meru bead as a boundary rather than an additional repetition. It does not prescribe a mantra, spiritual technique or interpretation.
