About This Tool

Formula

NRR = aggregate runs scored per over βˆ’ aggregate runs conceded per over. Overs are converted to balls first.

Use adjusted aggregate totals

Official tournament NRR is based on cumulative runs and overs from included matches. Overs notation is base six: 19.4 means 19 overs and four balls, not 19.4 decimal overs.

165 from 20.0 overs gives 8.250 runs per over. Conceding 142 from 20.0 gives 7.100. NRR = +1.150.

Competition rules control special cases

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 conditions use the full quota when a team is all out early, exclude Super Overs, count only matches with results, and prescribe DLS adjustments. Other competitions may differ.

Playing conditions reviewed 2026-06-23: ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, clause 16.10.7.
