Method, limits and privacy

Generation uses cryptographically strong browser randomness. The combination count is computed for the exact enabled character sets and the requirement that every selected set appears. No password is transmitted by this tool, but device compromise, clipboard access and browser extensions remain separate risks.

Characters are selected with the browser Web Crypto API and rejection sampling. The generator rejects complete candidates until every selected character class appears, preserving a uniform distribution over passwords that satisfy those options.
It is the base-2 logarithm of the exact number of possible generated strings after the selected character-class requirement is applied. It is not a prediction of account compromise time.
Services have different length, symbol and character policies. The generator supports 4–64 characters, but the receiving service’s rules take priority.
